So-called (and perhaps misnamed) “vanity” license plates are perhaps a mobile extension of the ubiquitous slogan t-shirt, without the need for washing.
I recall a favorite of mine a college classmate wore. Black with white block letters, it stated, simply, “Pobody’s Nerfect”. Both poignant and self-deprecating in a single wearing.
I was reminded of that shirt / my old classmate this past weekend when I saw a college student (male) with a white t-shirt with black letters “b” “b s”. In between the b’s were two of the pink ribbon symbols for breast cancer research. Clever. I hope proceeds went to the research.
Now, if you really want to laugh, check out the link below. Scroll down a half-page and read the product reviews. Warning: don’t do this while drinking anything fizzy, or that you don’t want to expel onto the people / pets / plants / furniture in front of you. I had not laughed so hard in months (and I needed the laughs). Reading those reviews made me think there are people in life who missed their true calling. http://www.amazon.com/The-Mountain-Three-Wolf-T-Shirt/dp/B000NZW3KC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=apparel&qid=1245704672&sr=1-1
