in honor of national taco day…

…I thought I’d share a few photos from one of my favorite noshing spots in Chicago: Big Star.

Even though I pretend to be vegetarian, I am all about Big Star’s Tacos al Pastor. In fact, I’ve always eaten that one so fast when I’m there- I don’t even have a photo.

(To all of you carnivores out there…you win on this one. The marinated pork of a Taco al Pastor pretty leaves anything veggie in the dust.)

(I mean- how cute is he? He also happens to be my little brother, Brad:) I took this photo when we were goofing around at the West River Farmers Market in Vermont last year. Brad is a farmer. One among the many who work humbly and tirelessly to grow all that fresh delicious food that keeps us healthy. Check out this article he’s in!

road trip!

I’m heading to get some last northern green space love in my favorite place ever in the summer : Upstate, NY. Adirondacks- here I come! I’ve got a pile of books packed and lots of BLR homework to-do’s. A perfect writing and work place to be inspired, especially on mornings with coffee overlooking a scene like this:

A few days back in the north to celebrate the last of summer fresh country air will be icing on the cake to my most fantastic, odd, growing, and clarity filled summer yet.
